It’s time to come back..

Well I’m just messing around with the Windows Essentials 2011 because I just downloaded it, so I’m messing around with Windows Live Writer for the first time. And I just noticed that I haven’t made a post since 2007. Which was a long time ago, if you haven’t noticed. But I’m going to try to get back into the habit of blogging, rather than just posting about every little happening of my life on facebook.

As well as being a lot more mature than I once was, I’m now in my freshman year of college. My current major is Creative Writing and my minor is music, but by the end of the week I should have my major switched over to French. So far, the college life is treating me fairly well because of the amazing course options, such as Peace and Conflicts, which is so far one of my favorite classes. =]

The other awesome thing about now being in college is the opportunity to get involved with a lot of organizations to promote change. So far, I’m in OWI: Organization for Women’s Issues, and have been volunteering with the ONE campaign in Bowling Green to pass the anti-discrimination ordinances so that it’s illegal to fire people or kick them out of their homes for being gay, pregnant, transgender, or a veteran, etc. I’m also going to weekly meetings for DDAS, which is an organization committed to decreasing discrimination.

Now I’m sure you all remember Ms. Motley. She’s in school also, she’s going to be an English Teacher. I’m not sure what’s going on with her, if she’s working on a different blog or what. I know that she hasn’t posted on here in a while also. I’m also not sure if I can suck her back into blogging with me. I’m sort of hoping I can because I remember it being a lot of fun. I don’t know if you guys know or not, but I had another more fun just general blog with her called zombie bears. But I’ll contact her today and see if she’s game. Hopefully she is. But I better go work on this french project that is due tomorrow, so I’ll post again tomorrow or maybe even today depending on how much I can procrastinate. Seya.
