For those who thought there was no way out…

"It Gets Better" Glowlight Vigil

On Wednesday from 8-9 at the BGSU campus there will be a glowlight vigil (no candles due to campus restrictions) for the homosexual youth who decide to end their life because they feel there is no other alternative. It should be known that this isn’t just to bring awareness to the events that have occurred recently, but to all victims of this sort of thing. This isn’t anything new. There has always been a problem with homosexual youth thinking about and/or committing suicide. It just hasn’t always been talked about. Here’s to breaking the silence.

On the topic of the attention that is now being drawn to the issue of suicide, there has been a large amount of video responses on youtube to this issue. I personally haven’t watched a lot of this videos because I’m sort of perturbed that no one seemed to care this much before, but I saw Sarah Silverman’s video response and I really liked it. Ima link it below.
